Scientific Name Krigia cespitosa

Composite

Low annual 2-16 inch. Herbage pale bluish green.

Flower: Head 1/2 to 7/8 inch across. Ray flowers several, yellow, finely 5-toothed across with square tips. Disk flowers yellow-orange. Heads terminal on slender stalks from upper leaf axils.

Leaves: to 2 1/8 in long, alternate. Margins entirely to irregulary and shallowly lobed. Leaves mostly basal. Upper leaves smaller, fewer on stem.

Flowers open only in the morning on warm sunny days.

Previously treated as K. oppositifolia.
