Shrub or small tree 5-13 feet, in moist soil.
Flower: Spring-summer; white; fragrant; in showy round heads 1inch in diameter. Flowers are trumpet shaped with 4 minute lobes. Stamens protrude beyond petals.
Leaves: Deciduous, simple, opposite or whorled; blade elliptic to lanceolate, 2-8 inches.
Fruit: Dense round head composed of many brown capsules. |
