Slender perenial 4-20 inches tall, from bulb.
Flowers: 6 creamy white petals to 1/2 inch long with a dark stripe on outside. Several flowers in umbel at top of leafless stem. Individual flower stalks to 2 inches.
Leaves: Basal; linear, grasslike 1/16 to 5/16 inch wide. Some as tall as flower stalk.
This toxic plant can be confused with wild onions, but it has a musky, not oniony, odor. |
