3-5 petal-like sepals

Upright, rough-hairy annual with much branched stem. Branches covered with brown glands and sticky hairs.

Flowers up to 5 mm. 3-5 color sepals without true petals. Stamens 2-3 exserted. Flowers in dense clusters at ends of branched stems.

Leaves to 3 cm long and 2 cm wide, opposite, slender stalked. Triangular blade with top bright green to somewhat purplish. Under surface pale, brown dotted.

Individual flowers are not that impressive, but may be striking when masse together as a group.
