Upright, prickly annual. To 5 ft. Stem solitary, branching in upper portion. Herbage glaucous (frosted appearance).
Flower: To 4 inch across. Six white, fragile, crinkly petals. Numerous stamens, yellow to red-tinged.
Leaves: 3-8 inch long, alternate, stalkless, bluish green, sometimes mottled, usually parted or deeply lobed; margins wavy-edged and spiny. |
