Coarse, trailing stems to several feet.
Flower: to 1 in, yellow 5 lobed. Grow with tendrils from leaf axils.
Leaves: Alternate, broadly rounded or kidney-shaped. Stems and leaves covered with bristly hairs and feel rough to the touch.
Fruit: up to 3 in. in length and 2 in. in diamter. Bright yellow with brown mottling when mature. Extremely strong, musky odor.
