Widely branched shrub to 10 ft tall with red stems.
Flower: 1/4 in. wide, petal-like sepals, 10 stamens, 10 pistils joined in a disklike ring.
Leaves: Alternate, simple, entire, oblong 4-12 in. long.
Fruit: Dark purple berries, wider than long 6-10 mm in diameter.
Poisonous, especially matures leaves. |
