Upright, hairy perennial. Solitary, 4-angled stem, branched in upper portion. Flowers form colonies from creeping rhizomes
FLower: To 3/4 in long, 5 pale pink to lavender petals with purple spots, united basally, tubular, 2 lipped at rim. Upper lip very short and deeply notched into 2 small toothlike segments Lower lip 3 lobed, the middle lobe broad and flat. Numerous flowers on spike.
Leaves:2-4 in long, opposite, stalkead, densely hairy on lower surface, margins usually toothed. |
