5 petals, 2 lipped
1-3 feet tall, growing from a clust of leaves at base.
Flower: Light blue flowers loosely arranged on upper third of stem. 5 petals united at base to form a 2 lipped blossom about 1/2 in. long. The lower lip arches upwaqrd, almost closing the throat of the flower. Also has a distinctive slender spur almost 1/2 inch long.
Leaves:Basal leaves are finely divided into somewhat rounded segments. Upper leaves are narrow to needlelike, alternate about 1 in. long.
